Sarah Minty: Beach Adventures in Nuno Felting

Title: Beach Adventures in Nuno Felting
Instructor: Sarah Minty
Workshop Duration: One Day
Date: Sunday October18, 2015
Location: Rocky Harbour Community Centre
This is an introduction to nuno felting and is ideal for those new to the technique.  Participants will be invited to fully experience their environment as they collect items necessary for the workshop, contemplate their location as they consider their design and even immerse their hands in the ocean water as they shock their felt! This workshop will entail wet felting fleece and specialty fibres onto silk chiffon and fulling with a beach pebble shibori resist resulting in a luxurious new three-dimensional fabric. No previous felting experience is required.
